Tuesday Tidbits

~ I got 5.5 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night. That means someone slept from roughly 10-4 last night. A new trend? Hopefully. I won't discuss the fact that she is impossible to PUT to bed.

Oh, and Hattie has horrendous baby acne (something Noella never had).

~Last night, Noella asked us if horses lived during the Cretaceous Time Period. Genius? Maybe. A 3 year old who watches Dinosaur Train? Definitely.

~The forecast for the next 10 days will be 70+ degrees starting on thursday. Spring has arrived!

Sunday Sillies: Noella, Singer/Songwriter

Noella wrote this little ditty for us this past weekend. She certainly has a way with words.... Click the link below:

Noella's Future Career Path?

Noella wanted to write a book the other day, so I obliged her. She illustrated all the pictures and fed me all of the text. I wrote down her oration word for word:

"Max and Ruby" by Noella

Hopefully you can read the text, it's pretty hilarious (and somewhat coherent)

I especially enjoy her use of the word "delighted"

If the whole author thing doesn't work out, at least she always has being a mom to fall back on....

Easter 2013

How blessed we have felt this Easter. Meems was out to spend the week with us, the weather was absolutely perfect and, of course, Miss Hattie June has joined our family. Easter was actually her due date. And then, of course, the Easter bunny came and brought way too much stuff in our baskets.

Sneaking a bite of candy

Wow, we don't have ANY of those around our house...

Then, we headed over to our friend's Egg Hunt. Five three year old girls, one 12 month old, one 11 month old, one 5 month old and one 10 day old all participated in the hunt. This was one of the best egg hunts I've ever witnessed. The hosts and other parents did such a great job. Here was the cool idea: each family contributed several sets of eggs with equal numbers of eggs for each of the 5 big girls. Those eggs were labeled with the girls' first initial. Everyone got the same number of eggs, and all the girls were so cute helping the others find their initials. Everyone was so excited and happy. Hattie slept the whole time.

We think Meems enjoyed herself too - luckily several other grandparents were in town visiting and so there were lots of friendly company to chat with. The amazing weather just topped off the whole day.

Not too mention, holding this little cozy bundle isn't such a bad deal either....

First family portrait. Noella was very cooperative.

Like I said, we feel pretty blessed! A blessed spring season to all of you, from the Holts.
