WAAAM!

Not to be confused with this WHAM! :

No, this WAAAM!:

The Western Antique Automobile and Airplane Museum to be exact. Adam and Noella got to go on a Daddy-Daughter field trip on Sunday, as I got a day off :) You better believe I didn't ask them to "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go".

Noella absolutely LOVED it. I have never seen her so excited to relay a story to me. Her favorite (according to her) was the submarine, and the helicopter, and the motorcycle. Who says you have to pick just one fav?

Apparently they had a grown up museum, where all the automobiles were roped off and were just for viewing AND a kid museum where you could sit on all different kinds of fun vehicles. I think both the grown up and the kid enjoyed themselves. I enjoyed shopping by myself. I don't even like shopping, but now sometimes I like it when I can go BY MYSELF.

Enjoy the WAAAM! and WHAM! photos:

Is It Spring Yet?

Maybe not quite, but we're gonna go ahead and pretend. Kale and peas in the ground! As well as some leftover greens, beets and radish seeds.

Yes, we're moving in 3.5 months, but we always gotta try!

What are you planting?

"I Don't Care, You Can Go By Bike"

"Don't you know, the time has come to go, Go, GO!" -- Dr. Seuss's 'Marvin K. Mooney' (One of my favorites, in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday yesterday - which also happens to be my sister, Sara's -- Happy Birthday again!)

It seems like all Noella is doing these days is go, Go, GOing! She is begining to take after her old dad (and mom) on a bike. Behold, our off-roading princess:

Adam wanted me to mention that she even had her first "over-the-handlebars" experience. She has teeny cuts under her eye from the wreckage. My little tough girl!

I'm a Big Kid Now

Noella's crib/toddler bed is now her headboard for the big bed that's been in her room all this time. We are running out of room big time. Our new home is being anxiously awaited!!

No more diapers, no more crib.... I'm starting to feel all sentimental! There was something about taking her crib apart that tugged at the 'ol heartstrings.

Now that she's out of diapers (during her waking hours at least), she coincidentally wanted to do this while I tried to get her picture in her "big girl princess bed":

She was organizing her swim diapers and pull-ups
I'm a big kid now!

Cherry Pie, Cherry Pie

This is what Noella thinks are the lyrics to Lady Gaga's "Poker Face". For those of you who don't know (ahem, Grandparents), the lyrics are: "can't read my, can't read my, no he can't read my poker face". In Noella's mind it goes "cherry pie, cherry pie, no he can't read my poker face" (well, in all honesty, she has no idea what the lyrics that follow cherry pie are). In fact, Noella thinks that Lady Gaga is actually "Goggle".

Noella comes from a long line of relatives with a terrible knack for mistaking song lyrics. Why, her very own cousin, Will, used to think that the same Lady Goggle song was: "she ain't got no head no body" instead of "she's got to love nobody". Put the two renditions together and you've got yourself quite a funny spoof of "Poker Face".

I have a few mistaken song lyrics from back in the day. One of my family's favorites was "You're Roastbeef", which was taken from Taylor Dayne's "Don't Rush Me".

Needless to say, Noella has inherited this wonderful trait.

Now, for the spectacular Lady Goggle:
"Cherry pie, cherry pie, no he can't read my poker face (she ain't got no head, no body)".
-I think those lyrics are better anyway
